Citizen Patriot Award recipient to be honored at luncheon Nov. 13

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Iron Mountain Christian Women’s Connection invites all ladies to an exciting and inspirational event, hosted at the Pine Grove Country Club from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 13.

Special music will be starting at 11:30 a.m. by pianist Jean Panek.

“Get ready for some special guests,” said a spokesperson. Betty Johnson, recipient of the 2013 Citizen Patriot Award, will be the honored guest. The winners from the five participating schools will read their winning Patriotic Essays.

Judy Vader will be the guest speaker. She comes from her home town of Escanaba, and is a graduate of Western Michigan University. She will share her story “Sealing the Deal.”

“Come and hear her inspiring and uplifting story of redemption,” she adds.

There are no fees or dues, just the cost of the luncheon. The cost is $15 inclusive. Express seating is available upon request for those on an extended lunch. Free babysitting is offered with a reservation. If daycare is needed, please include names and ages of children with your reservation.

Menu includes turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and gravy, pumpkin pie for dessert and coffee.
