LAONA, Wis. – Karin J. Lincoln, 73, of Laona and formerly of Norway, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander, Wis.
She was born in Iron Mountain on March 16, 1940, to Wilbert and Margaret (Haggman) Rousse.
Karin married Alvin “Al” Lincoln Sr. on June 21, 1980, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Norway.
She was employed as a LPN at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander and NuRoc Community Healthcare Center in Blackwell, Wis.
Karin enjoyed taxidermy, woodworking, quilting and crafting. She was a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, member and chaplain of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Auxiliary and a member of the Eastern Star.
Karin is survived by her husband of 33 years, Al; daughter, Brenda Lincoln of Laona; sons, Karl Johnson of Ocean Park, Wash., Erik (Sue) Johnson of Kewaskum, Wis., and Alvin Lincoln Jr. of Howell; grandchildren, Brandi, Ryan, Sarah, Megan, Michael, Kevin, Thomas and Christie; and great-grandson, Logan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Wilbert.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon, Wis., with a service to be held at 6 p.m.
Visitation will be held again on Wednesday at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Norway from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kate Schruba officiating.
Interment will be in the Norway Township Cemetery.
