IRON MOUNTAIN – Margaret R. Pesavento, 92, of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at Carrington Manor in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late George and Anne (Pollard) Trevillian. After high school, she worked for her mother who operated a nursing home and later participated as an instructor at the old Felch High School adult education program where she met many of her friends.
Margaret married Jack Pesavento on June 11, 1938, at Immaculate Conception Church where they were members until moving to Green Bay in 1959. The couple returned to Felch Township in 1966, and lived on Norway Lake until moving to Kingsford in 2002. They enjoyed more than 35 years of retirement together – at the lake in the summer and in Apache Junction, Ariz., in the winter. They were happily married for 71 years until Jack’s passing in 2009.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Karen (Tom) Ritz of Niceville, Fla., and Ann (David) Pagel of Green Bay; son, Allen (Renee) of Franklin, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many, many nieces and nephews; and extended family.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne (Rosemary); infant brothers, George and Hartley; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Richard (Lorrette) and Clyde (Lorraine); and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lucille (Micky) Mikolajczyk, Mildred (James) Corona and Marian (Edwin) Palomaki.
A memorial service and interment alongside Jack and their son will be held at the Iron Mountain cemetery at a later date, to be announced.
