ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. – Robert A. “Robin” Schaumann, 73, of Armstrong Creek, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.
He was born in Laona on Aug. 19, 1940, son of Richard and Evelyn (McLain) Schaumann. Robin was united in marriage to the former Carma Weinfurter on May 6, 1961, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Goodman, Wis.
Robin could be found spending most of his time outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping. He enjoyed logging and tending to his garden. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Most importantly, Robin provided for his family throughout his life. He will be missed.
Robin is survived by his loving wife, Carma; four children, Robyn Lea (Doug) Hillmann, Jody Palazzo, Shelly Schaumann and Stewart Schaumann; grandson, Zachary Hillmann; brother, Lee (Arlean) Schauman; sister, Janis (Bob) Nelson; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Jay Palazzo; brother, Stuart; an uncle, Walter; and an aunt, Helen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday Oct. 21, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday and again from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday, all at the church.
Final resting place will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Fence, Wis.
