ROCK – North Dickinson, serving 92 percent, smothered Mid Peninsula 25-4, 25-19, 25-11 in Skyline volleyball.
“I’m pleased with the win,” Nordics coach Sandy Haustein said. “We played really well, especially in the first and third sets.”
A little bit of a line-up shuffle helped fuel the Nordics. Chelsey Stroud started at the serving line and the Nordics bolted out to a quick 13-point lead. She served six aces during that initial run and was 26-for-27 at the serving line in the match.
Stroud, Kimberly Cary (starting in the middle), and Lexi Steele all had six kills.
“With Miranda (Jacobson) being down, those three have to come on strong, and they really stepped up,” Haustein said. “Kim did a good job considering she was playing with new people on each side of her.”
Lexi also delivered at the serving line, going 16-for-17 for 13 points with six aces.
ND’s jayvees also swept. Nordics (9-2) host Bark River-Harris Thursday.
