KINGSFORD – Darlene L. “Dolly” Goad, 51, of Kingsford, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Dickinson County Hospital.
Dolly was born on Feb. 10, 1962, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Paquette) Goad. She moved to Iron Mountain from Milwaukee in 1993. Dolly was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She loved her cats, putting together puzzles and watching her favorite television cartoon characters Taz and Garfield.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Samantha Goad of Iron Mountain; her son, AJ Goad of Iron Mountain; step-daughter, Jenny Schoonmaker; and adopted daughter, Gloria Angeloff. Six grandchildren, Nevaeh Goad, Aaliyah Milbrath, Addisyn Jahnke, Alec Jahnke-Goad, Ace Jahnke-Goad and Lucas Goad; brothers, William Goad of California, James (Kathryn) Goad of Iron Mountain and Michael (Robin Williams) Goad of Iron Mountain; a sister, Laurie (David) Goad of Puerto Rico; two very special nieces, Violet and Autumn Goad. She is also survived by a special friend and companion, Jeff Newman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her soul mate, Michael Lhotka.
Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 14, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northern Light Christian Church, N4089 Pine Mountain Road.
Memorial services will follow Monday at 3 p.m. at the church. Pastor Kent Angeloff will officiate.
