Cindy Kreider to speak at Christian Women’s Connection luncheon
CRYSTAL FALLS -The Iron Mountain Christian Women’s Connection invites all ladies to an exciting and inspirational event, hosted by the Pine Grove Country Club from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 9.
Special music will start at 11:30 a.m. by the Lamplighters Quartet featuring local singers, John Allard, Boyd Thomas, Earl Scheidt and Dennis Fraker.
The luncheon is a prelude to the fourth annual Military Appreciation Extravaganza held the evening of Oct. 10.
“Come help us celebrate life, faith, and freedom with special guest speaker and army wife, Cindy Kreider who will give her perspective on army life with her presentation on No Better Place to Serve,” a spokesperson said.
She will share her story of service and sacrifice as an Army spouse. She hopes to provide a glimpse of the unique challenges faced by many of the families and loved ones of deployed military personnel.
Many of them have had to suffer greatly so that their faith, tested and strained, would become strong and enduring. Her story is one of courage, tears and love; a love forged in a war zone; a love rooted in the grace of God.
There are no fees or dues, just the cost of the luncheon. The cost is $15 inclusive. Express seating is available upon request for those on an extended lunch. Free babysitting is offered with a reservation.
If daycare is needed, please include names and ages of children with your reservation.
As a part of our Military celebration we will be offering a free lunch to any person who has an active duty spouse with either the National Guard or any other branch of service. Please bring your Military I.D. Card to receive a complimentary meal.
Menu will be stir-fried beef with fresh vegetables served over rice; salad with mixed greens; chocolate mousse for dessert and coffee.
Reservations are required today by contacting Samantha at 828-1533, Doreen; 221-2390, Jan; 774-8738, or e-mail Sherri Erickson at firstname.lastname@example.org
