FLORENCE, Wis. – A Norway woman accused of biting another woman during a bar fight in Aurora, Wis. has accepted a plea deal that will dismiss her felony charge.

Alicia Trottier, 23, pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of battery and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct during a plea hearing in Florence County Court on Tuesday.

Florence County District Attorney Douglas Drexler then dismissed one felony count of substantial battery.

Trottier still faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail when she is sentenced on Oct. 8.

The charges against Trottier stem from a March 5 incident in Aurora.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Trottier pulled a woman’s hair and bit her in the face and chest.

The woman had been trying to break up a fight between Trottier and one of Trottier’s friends at the time of the incident, the complaint states.

After the incident, the woman went to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of a bite to her right cheek and various scratch marks.
