Auditions for ‘A Christmas Carol’ to be held Oct. 7-8
IRON MOUNTAIN – The Dickinson County Community Theatre will be holding auditions for its production of “A Christmas Carol.” Auditions are on Monday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Norway Fine Arts Center in Norway.
“A Christmas Carol,” the holiday classic by Charles Dickens, has been adapted into numerous stage versions. DCCT selected the version by John Jakes, which also features the character of Charles Dickens himself. There is a large cast and opportunities for experienced and novice actors.
Auditions are open to everyone, from high school age and older. No children will be auditioned for this show.
The audition process will consist of reading from provided scripts and participation in simple acting exercises. Rehearsals will be conducted on weekday evenings through October, November, and into December. All rehearsals, including the production, Dec. 5-8, will be held at the Norway Fine Arts Center at 300 Section Street in Norway.
DCCT is a community organization that welcomes anyone who wishes to be part of an active and lively theatre group. In addition to acting roles, there are a variety of production and crew opportunities with each show.
Their next production will be the musical “Annie Get Your Gun,” which is scheduled for the spring. Those interested in being involved with “A Christmas Carol” are encouraged to attend one of the two auditions.
