Forest Park spikers down Rapid

RAPID RIVER – Forest Park maintained its unblemished Skyline Conference record, defeating Rapid River 25-11, 25-15, 25-14 Monday evening.

“It wasn’t our best match of the season,” Forest Park coach Kim Bjork said. “We had to change our lineup which threw us off a little. Communication is our weak point right now, and we tend to play to the level of our competition. We are winning but I’d like to see a consistently high level of play.”

Lexi Gussert totaled 10 kills in the match and also added thee blocks and four aces. Maria Stankewicz hit five kills, five aces and had a team-best seven digs.

The Lady Trojans (17-1-5, 6-0) host West Iron County Tuesday, Oct. 1. Fans are encouraged to wear pink for Pink-Out.
