ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. – Anton M. Kiszonas, 96, of Armstrong Creek, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Florence, Wis.
He was born in Armstrong Creek on Nov. 15, 1916, son of the late Matt and Agnes (Mikalaskas) Kiszonas. Anton was a past school board member of Goodman, and was a past town supervisor of Armstrong Creek.
Anton enjoyed the outdoors and knew every tree that grew in his forest. He was an extremely hard worker and had great work ethic. He won awards for making his own maple syrup. He loved spending time with his family, taking Sunday drives, and was an avid gardener.
Anton is survived by two sons, Ray (Ann) Kiszonas of Goodman and Tony Jr. (Diane) Kiszonas of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; three daughters: Evelyn Kiszonas of Armstrong Creek, Carol (Lee) Fredrickson of Green Bay, Wis. and Ruth (Jerry) Schwartz of Armstrong Creek; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anne (Len) Cieslak.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; parents; two brothers, Ralph and Bill; and a great-grandson, Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek with Msgr. Paul Koszarek and Deacon Gerald Cross officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at church on Tuesday.
Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Armstrong Creek.
