IRON MOUNTAIN – Pearl Fitzgerald, 94, of Kingsford, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Manorcare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born April 12, 1919, in Manistique, daughter of the late William and Ollia (Burton) Barker. Pearl married Eugene Fitzgerald on Oct. 1, 1954. They resided in Newberry for a few years before moving to Kingsford in 1959. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Hall in Kingsford.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel “Herb” (Margaret) Lennox of Germfask, Mich., George (Lynn) Fitzgerald of Escanaba, Mich.; two daughters, Alva Fox of Kingsford, Donna Applin (Kevin Thiede) of Iron Mountain; grandchildren, Jim (Vicki) Fox of Yazoocity, Miss., Joan Fox of Iron Mountain, Sheri Fox of Kingsford, Tammy Newingham of Kingsford, Margie Fox of Kingsford, Herb Fox of Kingsford, Susan (James) Quick of Olathe, Kans., Samuel Lennox of Germfask, Kirsten Applin of Iron Mountain, April (Edward) Turner of Iron Mountain; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Eugene, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjory Lee and two sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Elder David Carpenter will officiate.
Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
A memorial will be established in her memory.
