Armed robbery investigated in Marinette County

MARINETTE, Wis. – An armed robbery at the Country Convenience Store in the town of Stephenson is under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, a white male entered the store at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, displayed a handgun and told the lone employee he wanted all the money.

The suspect fled on foot, taking an undetermined amount of cash. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Deputies and K-9 partners tracked the suspect’s trail to where it appeared he left the area in a vehicle. At this point, there is no description of the vehicle.

The suspect was described as 6-0, 190 to 210 pounds, wearing a baseball hat with a red bandana covering most of his face. He was wearing large sunglasses, a long sleeve blue shirt and blue jeans. He was also wearing gloves.
