Iron Mountain 7th Annual Italian Fest a success, officials say
IRON MOUNTAIN – The 7th Annual Italian Fest another success, announced the Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority/Main Street (DDA/MS).
“The community again turned out in record numbers and we truly appreciate all of the support from sponsors, vendors, volunteers and those that took time to attend the event,”said Via Thomas, Italian Fest Volunteer.
“This year was by far our most successful to date and we appreciate the continued support of the community,” Thomas said.
Local sponsors for this year’s event included First National Bank & Trust Co., River Valley Bank, Bacco Construction, Dickinson Area Tourism, MJ Electric, Northern Star Industries, Wisconsin Energy Foundation, Dickinson County Healthcare System, Classic Auto Collision, Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union, Super One Foods, Bink’s Coca-Cola, CCI, Culligan Water Conditioning, the Music Tree, Antonio’s Pizza, Occhietti & Selden Dental, The Miller Agency, Slumberland Furniture, Kiwanis, and Ameriprise Financial Marc J Mogan, said Italian Fest Chair Suzanne Anderson
The five vendors who provided food at Italian Fest included Alley Dog Hotdogs, Antonio’s, Crispigna’s, Hillcrest Catering, Northside Noodle.
Festival attendees raved about the excellent food selection.
Noted Italian Fest Volunteer Paula Santoni, “without their dedication and hard work the great food provided at Italian Fest would not be possible.”
The Italian Fest Committee would also like to acknowledge Jim Benbow, Jinx Brew, Mike Nicometo, John Gaudette, Devona, Don Dinnocenzo and DPW crew, city of Iron Mountain, and the more than 90 volunteers who helped to make the event a huge success.
“Persons interested in Italian Fest merchandise can still make purchases by stopping by the Iron Mountain City Hall at 501 S. Stephenson or calling 774-8534,” said Jonathan Ringel, Iron Mountain Main Street Manager.
The 8th Annual Main Street Italian Fest has already been scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16.
“We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s event where we will be celebrating Italy, Iron Mountain style,” Ringel said.
