William G. Sipple

GOODMAN, Wis. – William G. Sipple, 65, of Goodman, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.

He was born May 9, 1948, in Beloit, Wis., son of George and Bethel (Webster) Sipple.

Bill graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1966. He married Kathleen Beath on June 7, 1975, in Janesville, Wis. They resided in Beloit and Bill worked for Fairbanks Morse as a welder.

They moved to Goodman in 1976. Bill worked for Rochon’s Plumbing and Heating, and later at the Goodman Mill, where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 2009. Since 2006 the couple owned and operated Bill and Kathy’s White House which is still in operation today.

Bill enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, trap shooting and riding his Harley. Most of all, he loved spending time with his many friends, family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy; his mother, Bethel of Goodman; one son, Michael Sipple, of Fence, Wis.; one daughter, Ivy (Robert) Wulf of Fence; one brother, Richard (Diane) Sipple of Goodman; two sisters, Jeannie Licary of Sharon, Wis., Peggy (Daniel) Metoxen of Broadhead, Wis.; four grandchildren, Kelsey, William, Lily and Maizie; numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family visitation will be held. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Bill and Kathy’s White House Bar on Highway 8, in Goodman. The celebration will be on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, beginning at 11 a.m.
