Antigo man charged with child pornography

MADISON – Ronald K. Schultz, of Hudson Street in Antigo, has been charged with ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony.

An adjourned initial appearance is scheduled for Sept. 9 at 1:30 p.m.

According to the Criminal Complaint, on Thursday, Aug. 22, special agents with the Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) executed a search warrant at Schultz’s residence in the city of Antigo.

An on-scene forensic preview by a DCI analyst of a computer hard drive belonging to Schultz uncovered videos consistent with child pornography, according to the complaint.

In an interview with agents, Schultz stated that he has seen some child pornography, and he knew it was illegal, according to the complaint.

On Friday, Aug. 23, a DCI special agent reviewed a disc, based on the on-scene forensic preview of Schultz’s computer hard drive, and discovered ten separate videos.

The Antigo Police Department and Langlade County Sheriff’s Office are members of Wisconsin’s ICAC Task Force.
