MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Herbert Wesley Henry, 86, of Magnolia, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Ark.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1927, in Iron Mountain to the late Herbert and Gerda Henry. Herbert attended Michigan Tech University, obtaining a chemical engineering degree in 1951. He later worked as plant manager for Ethyl Chemical/Albemarle Corporation, serving a number of years before his retirement in 1990.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Theresa E. Henry; second wife, Franziska L. Henry; and by one brother, John Henry.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, David Henry and wife Karen of El Dorado and Stephen Henry of Dallas; one brother, Charles Henry and wife Carol of Iron Mountain; one sister, Elaine Johnson also of Iron Mountain; sister-in-law, Beverly Henry of Cortez, Fla.; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Henry and Sarah Henry, both of El Dorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 24, at Bailey Chapel in Magnolia with Rev. Jim Polk officiating.
A private family burial was held at Magnolia Memorial Park under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia.
