AURORA, Wis. – David J. Tittl, 56, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his home.
He was born on June 12, 1957, in Manitowoc, Wis., son of the late Frederick and Rita (Daley) Tittl. He attended school in the Manitowoc area, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1975. He moved his family from Manitowoc to Northern Wisconsin and has been a resident of the area for nearly 30 years.
David was most recently employed at Wal-Mart. He was a former grocery store owner. His passion was rummaging and looking for antiques. He was also a gun enthusiast and a former gun shop owner. He loved hunting and fishing, and enjoyed many hunting trips out West in his early years.
David is survived by his son, Dan Tittl of Amberg, Wis.; his daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Plonke of Niagara, Wis.; his grandchildren, Ethan, Colt, Austin and Bryce; a sister, Julie Braunel of Manitowoc; brothers, Peter (Susan) Tittl of California and Paul (Julie) Tittl of Manitowoc. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; his good friends, Ray and Diane Soderberg, Al and Jackie Moore, Marty and Mary Scheuer, and John Becker.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Friday at the church. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his memory.
