Boards plan meetings this week

The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the circuit courtroom of the courthouse.

The agenda includes proposed revisions to the county’s purchasing policy.

The Iron Mountain School District Board of Education will meet today at 6 p.m. in the board room of the administration building.

Action items include approval of a resolution, second reading of NEOLA policies, approval of the start of school, adoption of meeting dates, approval of the handbook, setting tuition, accepting a resignation and approval of hires.

The Florence County School District Board of Education will meet today at 5 p.m. in Room 215 of the high school.

Under new business, the board will discuss the 2012-13 preliminary audit report, consideration of the 2013-14 proposed budget, a teacher resignation and employee handbook.

A closed session is planned to discuss personnel, specific student matters, staffing/contracts/compensation, consideration of strategy for crime prevention and negotiations.

The Breitung Township Board will meet today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the township offices in Quinnesec.

The agenda includes 2013 road paving bid results and recommendations and dangerous buildings ordinance under old business.

New business on the agenda includes automated clearing house policy, resolution to authorize use of the clearing house for electronic transfer of funds, request for mileage reimbursement, Blue Cross/Blue Shield renewal, clerk request to discuss future staffing needs, and display of antique fire truck.

The North Dickinson School Board of Education will meet today at 6 p.m. in the high school library.

Business items on the agenda include approval of the school calendar for 2013-14, hiring a math teacher and at-risk aide, authorizing the superintendent to hire a Title I aide, appointing a JV volleyball coach, accepting a resignation, approving instructional aide staffing for 2013-14, and accepting the bread and milk bid.
