Not an increase

EDITOR:

Voters of Iron County, vote yes in the Aug. 6 special election for the senior centers millage renewal. Passing of this renewal of the .27 mills for operations of the senior centers for 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 will make it possible for our Iron River Senior Center to continue serving noon meals, delivering meals to the home-bound, providing a friendly gathering place for all ages, the enjoyment of various activities and local transportation.

Additionally, the Iron River Senior Center’s Site Council sponsors a monthly dance, pancake breakfast, and various special meals throughout the year, all well attended and successful.

We have a beautiful facility that is also available for organizational meetings, parties, reunions and special gatherings. If you have not taken advantage of a visit to your Iron River Senior Center, do so at your earliest convenience.

And remember, this special election for the senior centers is a renewal, not an increase.

Vote yes and continue to enjoy the Iron River Senior Center. Don’t pass up your privilege to vote.
