Boards plan meetings this week

The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 tonight in the circuit courtroom of the courthouse.
The agenda includes the mine inspector’s report and an airport awareness grant from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The Dickinson County Road Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the commission offices. 1107 South Milwaukee Ave., Iron Mountain. The agenda includes bituminous bid results for local road projects.
The Breitung Township Board will meet today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the township offices in Quinnesec.
Old business includes the dangerous buildings ordinance, wellhead protection program updates and roof bid award.
Under new business, the board will consider the 2014 CUPPAD dues, permit extension request from AT&T regarding the Metro Act right-of-way and mid-year budget amendments.
The Iron County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the board room of the Iron County Courthouse in Crystal Falls.
The North Dickinson County School Board of Education will meet today at 6:45 p.m. in the high school library.
The board will conduct organizational business and then move into regular items on the agenda
Business items include the final revised budget for 2013, accepting a resignation, approval of post at-risk aide position, Schedule B assignments, METS contract approval, PCMI contract, surplus school bus and a closed session of discuss negotiation strategies.
A special meeting of the Florence County School District Board of Education will be held today at 5 p.m. in Room 215 of the high school.
Old business includes a discussion of health insurance. New business on the agenda will be baseball field use, girls softball tournament, teacher resignation, leave request, senior class adviser and employee handbook amendments.
The Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Board of Education will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the conference room A of the offices, located at 1074 Pyle Drive in Kingsford.
The organizational meeting will be held first followed by the regular meeting.
Agenda items include filling the position of Head Start classroom coordinator, CI instructor for special education, special education instructional aide and curriculum/math/science coordinator.
