Shooting victims’ names released

MARINETTE, Wis. – Authorities have released the names of the two men involved in a shooting incident in Pound, Wis. on Monday.

Killed were 26-year-old Tyler S. Walk of Marinette and 76-year-old Manfred M. Eisenheim of Pound.

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve said that the three deputies involved in the shooting are Robert Amundson, Jesse Parker, and Steven Schmidt. They have been placed on administrative leave pending a review of the shooting.

The incident occurred late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.

Walk had called 911 to report a suspicious person at his family’s cabin off of North 5th Road. He said that the suspicious person was armed.

A subsequent 911 call from another person notified authorities that a vehicle had crashed into a residence in the same area.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Walk in the crashed vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

Walk was transported to Bay Area Medical Center, then transferred to a Green Bay hospital, where he later died.
