FELCH – Clyde A. Lucas, 61, of Felch, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
He was born in Iron Mountain on March 23, 1952, son of the late Clark A. and Joan (Jacobson) Lucas. He grew up in Felch and graduated from Felch High School with the class of 1970. He worked in the woods as a logger all of his life. Clyde was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting fire wood and especially spending time with his family and many friends.
Survivors include his two sons, Jake Lucas of Kingsford, and Luke (Crystal) Lucas of Bellville, Ill.; one brother, Clark Lucas of Felch; two sisters, Judy Lucas and Jill (Kevin) Kuhn of Kingsford; special friends, Tammy Mattson, Roger “Buddy” Cootware, and the cat Obama; two grandchildren, Annalise and Haley; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Glenn Lucas; and one sister, Jerry Ann Winstanley.
Family will receive friends Saturday at 2 p.m. at L.C.’s Tavern in Felch for a potluck to celebrate Clyde’s legacy of life.
