Missoula Children’s Theatre in Goodman

GOODMAN, Wis. – This summer Missoula Children’s Theatre will be stopping at the Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District for two shows on Saturday, June 29. Students in grades first through 12th will perform The Secret Garden in the LaVerne Zimmerman gymnasium at Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT), the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been touring extensively for 41 years now from Montana to Japan, visiting nearly 1,200 communities.

The MCT team arrives in a given town with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play, except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts the local students to perform in the production. All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children’s stories and fairytales, a twist on the classic stories that you know and love.

Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational project.

Auditions will be open on Monday, June 24 for students entering first through 12th grade for the 2013-14 school year beginning at 10 a.m. at the LaVerne Zimmerman gymnasium. Any questions should be directed to Cris Wysocki.

MCT’s mission is the development of lifeskills in children through participation in the performing arts.
