AURORA, Wis. – Greg “Chewy” Broullire, 62, of Aurora, died as the result of a motorcycle accident on Friday, May 31, 2013, in Dixon, Ill.
Greg was born July 21, 1950, son of the late Howard and Ann (Vondell) Broullire. He was a 1969 graduate of Florence High School and has been a lifelong resident of Aurora. Following his graduation, Greg enlisted into the United States Army and served in South Korea as a heavy equipment operator.
He married Carol Jones on Oct. 1, 1970, in Iron Mountain. Greg worked for Lodal Inc. in Kingsford for 36 years.
Greg loved motorcycling and has owned and ridden bikes since he was 16. He was a member of the A Heads motorcycle club and last year bought and restored his first Harley-Davidson. Greg passed away doing what he loved.
Greg also enjoyed deer hunting, four-wheeling with his ATV, watching sci-fi movies, spending time at his brother Todd’s camp and hanging out with friends.
Greg is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Tracy (Mike) Debidart of Norway and Brad Broullire of Aurora; brothers, Todd (Ann) Broullire of Aurora and Jeff Broullire of Aurora; grandchildren, Hart and Anna Debidart; nieces, Dina (Dennis) Aho, Emily (Joe) Lequia and Haley Broullire.
He is also survived by many, many friends too numerous to mention and his faithful dog, Buddy. We will miss his hearty laugh, his big red beard, his ZZ Top air guitar performances, his generosity, kindness, charm and loyalty.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Larry Neargarth will officiate.
Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery at a later date.
