IRON MOUNTAIN – Kaye Lynn Gardiepy, 65, of Iron Mountain, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1947, in Kingsford, daughter of the late John and Vivian Vanpae Galeazzi.
She married Donald “GaGa” Gardiepy on July 20, 1968, in Iron Mountain. Kaye enjoyed watching GaGa play in several baseball tournaments in the U.P. and Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She also enjoyed attending the Galeazzi family reunions and going to the casino.
Kaye is survived by two stepdaughters, Brenda (Joe) Mlinar of Appleton, Wis., and Twyla Zeman of Florida; four step-grandchildren, Kristofer Mlinar, Kalyn Mlinar, Brandon Zeman, and Zachury Gardiepy; two brothers, Albert Galeazzi and John Galeazzi; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by one stepson, Don Gardiepy; four brothers, Jimmy, David, Joe, and Jerry Galeazzi; and five sisters, Jeannie Seberger, Midge Akstulewicz, Vicky Chiamulera, Joan Alexander, and Jackie Ebbens.
Visitation will be on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Daniel Zaloga will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
