IRON MOUNTAIN – LaVerne F. Vincent, 80, of Iron Mountain, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Kingsford, daughter of the late Earl and Christine (Peronto) Schuls. She grew up in Kingsford and attended school there. LaVerne married William C. Vincent on Nov. 2, 1962, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death in 1983.
LaVerne worked for General Controls and Romagnoli’s Restaurant in her younger years. She enjoyed her flower garden and was a great homemaker and cook. She will be missed by her numerous friends and especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
Survivors include two sons, William P. Vincent and Robert L. Vincent; one daughter, Paula (Frank) Anatra; one brother, Leo (Nancy) Schuls, all of Iron Mountain; seven grandchildren, Kristle, Maria, Monica, Catlin, Brad, Johnny, and Frankie; and one great-grandson, Connor.
In addition to her parents and her husband, LaVerne was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Eisold and Beatrice Bryngelson.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
