We need to pull together

Henry Ford once said: Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success.

When we split from God, turn our backs on him, we fail in: our families, jobs, businesses, relationships, churches and our schools. And all these make up our communities, states and country.

Our country, dear people, is to the ‘melting pot’ it once was. We have leaders right now that are rewriting our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, taking away our God-given gifts of freedom, liberty, justice, and life for their own agendas.

There is only one place in all the Bible where God invites us to test him. That’s in Malachi 3:10. Our country is in dire risk of bankruptcy, because instead of turning to God, we as a nation have turned to government.

You say, “I didn’t vote for the people in office, I didn’t want ObamaCare, or big government.”

But did you vote? Did you speak up, write letters to your representatives, really look into the issues when you did vote, look into the backgrounds of those running for office, get the facts straight on the issues?

How about God? Have you left him on a back burner somewhere? Only going to him when you’re in trouble, never praising him, or only praising him when he bless you big? Complaining to him all the time with, with no thanks? How about tithing, giving back to him the ‘first fruits’ of what you receive? Tithe means tenth. When we give the first tenth of our increase, or gross income, we are honoring him with faith that he’ll provide all we need.

Many years ago, when life was so very desperate in my life, I had two beautiful girls, one was 2 1/2 years old, the other was a new born. I was so desperate: my ex-husband left when I was still pregnant with the baby, took all the money for the rent, gas and electric bills and other money I had saved, and left with threats on my life; that I was going to leave them with my family, and end it all.

The Lord showed me, Malachi 3: 8-10, vs. 8 “Will a man (woman) rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, ‘in what way have we robbed you?’ In tithes and offerings. Vs. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. Vs 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try (test) me in this,” Says the Lord of Hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be enough to receive it.”

Well I did test him in this case. And I challenge all of you to do the same, also to read the rest of Malachi Chapters 3 and 4 and see what was happening to Israel then, is happening to us now. Also read Deut. chapter 28 and see if what’s happening to us as a nation. His words of prophesy, isn’t happening to us now, because we have left God out of our lives.

Mal.3: 16-18 says: vs 16 Then those who feared the lord spoke to one another, and the lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before him for those who fear the lord and who meditate on his name. (He doesn’t need the book of remembrance, He keeps track of those who love him to show us on Judgement Day.) Vs 17 “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of Hosts, “On the day that I make them my jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” Vs 18 then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him. (The words in parenthesis are my own.)

So again, when was the last time you spoke up for: God’s dear children who are murdered by abortion, 55,000,000-plus since 1973; advocate for prayer in schools; read his word to your children or grandchildren; thank him for all he’s done for you; give of yourself and funds for others as unto the Lord?

When was the last time you prayed for: your pastor to teach God’s truth; the leaders – from President of this U.S.A. all the way to our school boards and administrators and all in between. (Jesus said we must pray for them so we have peace in the land); prayed for your children and grandchildren who are bombarded by school curriculum and anti-God scenes on TV, in movies, and in the world; prayed for the teachers who are teaching our children and grandchildren; for revival to take place in this nation again?

We need to pull together, with each other and with God, in prayer, serving others and God, and become again one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty, in justice for all.
