Freedom to choose

As of December 2012, Michigan became the 24th state in the United States to pass right-to-work legislation. It simply gives workers the freedom to choose whether they want to financially pay union dues, as a condition of employment.

One of the main reason this legislation passed so over-whelmingly because workers were sick and tired of giving a portion of their union dues to union bosses who have used most of that money supporting political activities and candidates that union members don’t support.

This is freedom of choice and liberty in the work place. The Michigan Senators and Representatives should be praised for voting for this Michigan law of right to work and not having to join a union.

Six Republicans voted with the Democrats against the bill, one was Ed McBroom. Of the state senators, four Republicans voted against it. One was Tom Casperson to vote with the Democrats.

McBroom and Casperson are a disgrace to the Republican Party. They campaign for you and conservative views then vote completely against your views as this right to work legislation proves who side they really are on.

It was stated years ago that when a politician’s lips move he is lying.

We need more than ever men and women who are not ashamed or afraid to stand for the truth when it is unpopular, who can say “no” with emphasis although all the rest of the crowd is saying yes.

So help us God.
