City Councils meet tonight

The Iron Mountain City Council will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the council room of the city hall buildings, 501 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain.
New business on the agenda include approval for a parking enforcement contract for the Iron Mountain Public Schools, authorization for reimbursement of cost of prosecution for DUI cases, approval of a contribution for the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Schools and a discussion of the Zephyr Station.
An executive session is also planned for the city manager evaluation.
The Kingsford City Council will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the council room, located upstairs of the city hall building, 305 S. Carpenter Ave. in Kingsford.
Old business includes the engineering proposals for the Kingsford Heights sewer separation and forestry management plan for the city’s 40 acres.
Under new business, the council will receive an update on the resolution for the Lodal Park tennis court grant application, authorize the sale of property to Eagle Tool Inc., consider a resolution authorizing refunding of the Public Works facility bonds, and a lease agreement extension for NSighttel Wireless LLC.
The Norway City Council will meet today at 7 p.m. in the council room of the city hall building, 915 Main St. in Norway.
A presentation is planned on the Safe Routes to School program. Action items include approval of the CATV Department’s proof of performance testing and water system SCADA.
The Breitung Township Schools Board of Education will meet today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the administration building, 2000 Pyle Drive in Kingsford.
Reports will be given by the finance, ad hoc ad curriculum/extracurricular committees.
The Iron Mountain School District Board of Education will meet today at 6 p.m. in the board room of the administration building, 217 Izzo-Mariucci Way in Iron Mountain.
Agenda items include approving the location change for the Community Schools program for the 2013-14 year and a rental agreement to use Central School building, Best Practices Inventive resolution, accept four resignations and two retirements, hiring for five staff, approval of an early retirement incentive for teachers, and a land purchase agreement amendment.
