BREITUNG TOWNSHIP – Marcelle M. Weaver, 78, of Breitung Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at ManorCare Heath Center in Kingsford.
Marcelle was born May 5, 1934, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Carlo and Dina (Brosio) Capra. She was a 1952 graduate of Iron Mountain High School and married Robert Weaver on Oct. 22, 1955, in Milwaukee. They spent the next 35 years in the Milwaukee area.
Marcelle worked as a licensed practical nurse for 20 years in the emergency room at Elmbrook Hospital and retired in 1993. After retirement, Marcelle and Bob returned to Iron Mountain. They loved to camp and together they traveled in their camper all over the United States and Canada. They also spent 17 winters at their home in the Villages in Florida. Marcelle also enjoyed playing bingo and making baskets with her sisters.
Marcelle is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Gary (Lauri) Weaver of Waukesha, Wis., and JoAnn (David Schwartz) Weaver of Littleton, Colo.; brother, Lawrence Capra of Iron Mountain; sisters, Kathleen Basilavast of Escanaba, Irene Secinaro of Iron Mountain and Carol Brodie of Marquette; grandchildren, Ryan (Sheri) Weaver, Eric (Lisa) Weaver and Matthew Weaver; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip and Robert Capra; sister, Jeanette Moreau; and her infant twin sister, Lucille.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate.
Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
