Madisin DePas new Miss Niagara

NIAGARA, Wis. – Madisin DePas was chosen as the new Miss Niagara in Tuesday’s sprig election.

Miss Niagara was selected by Niagara High School students, along with city and town of Niagara voters.

Originated and sponsored by the Niagara Lions Club since 1968, Madisin will have her coronation at the Niagara Lions Community Picnic on Saturday, June 29, when she will be presented with a crown and sash from Kaitlyn Lundin, the current Miss Niagara.

Madisin, 17, is a junior and the daughter of Teresa and Jeff DePas.

Madisin excels in the classroom and her name often can be found on the high honor roll. Her favorite classes this year include advanced biology, art, and French.

She also enjoys forensics where she has earned a bronze medal at the state forensic contest and has also earned letters in volleyball, track, band, cheerleading, and one-act play.
