CAMERON, Wis. – Donald R. Post, 76, of Cameron, Wis., died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1936, to Forrest and Lorette (Burbey) Post in Kingsford and was raised and attended school in both Michigan and Milwaukee.
He drove truck over-the-road for about 50 years, working for various companies.
On Dec. 17, 1982, he married Sandra Marson in Illinois.
Donald loved his tools and used to make remote control airplanes and also still enjoyed making tin soldiers. He also collected toy cars and airplanes.
Donald was a dedicated and loving husband and a very caring man. He would always take time to help anyone in need.
His is survived by his wife, Sandra; sons, Roger (Patty) Post of Cudahy, Wis. and Gary (Patsy) Harkness of Oklahoma City, Okla.; daughters, Vicky (Jeremy) Zeller of San Diego, Leona (Darren) Glattfelder of Mauston and Paula (Joel) Johnson of Cameron; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Polly (Phil) Peterson of Kingsford, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
Services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, from Foursquare Church in Barron, Wis. with Rev. Wayne Espeseth officiating.
Visitation was held an hour prior to services at the church.
The Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes in Cameron and Dallas handled the arrangements.
