Makes America great
The greatness of America is losing its grip on the world market.
Our nation along with the government has lost its power to govern successfully. We have become a nation with lost opportunities, putting our country in debt beyond our control. Our citizens have become wary of such a debt that will take years to dissolve, putting our young people at risk.
I watched the inauguration of our president’s second term taking place in Washington D.C. on the national mall. I didn’t see anything different to be exciting.
I remembered myself of the trip when my friend, Dick Smart and I traveled to Washington D.C. on Oct. 4, 1997, to pray on our knees on the national mall.
It was very enlightening to see close to a million men, including young boys, kneeling on the mall. I remembered seeing a photo from a Promise Keeper booklet of a young boy seated by his dad sitting with his head bowed and his hands folded praying.
This to me is what makes America great. This was a sacred assembly of men and boys, the greatest of our time. What a difference between those who serve God and those who forget God.
“And I know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans” (Romans 8:28).
“When we ask God to do something for us, He generally does something in us.” Try it, it works.
When we all pray, it is so much better than when no one prays.
God bless America, land that I love.
