Suspects in AuTrain home invasion arrested

NEGAUNEE – Two Bay City, Mich. residents have been arrested in connection to a home invasion/armed robbery incident that occurred March 12 in Alger County’s AuTrain Township.

Troopers from the Negaunee post of the Michigan State Police said that a 29-year-old man was arrested on charges of home invasion-first degree, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, unlawful imprisonment, and armed robbery.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested on charges of home invasion-first degree and armed robbery, troopers added.

The male suspect is currently being lodged in the Alger County Jail. The female suspect is expected to be transported from Bay City to Alger County later today.

Names will be released after the suspects are arraigned in court.

The suspects are accused of entering a home on County Road 440. The resident of the home, 19-year-old Allen Miron, was assaulted and rendered incapacitated.

Miron was transported to Munising Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for injuries.
