AURORA, Wis. – Rhonda B. Rochon, 48, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born Feb. 4, 1965, in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of the late Henry and Shirley (Balthazore) Rochon. Rhonda graduated from Kingsford High School in 1983, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was employed at the Stephenson Marketing Co-op for the past 17 years as a clerk and sales associate. Rhonda also tended bar at the Who’s Next in Aurora for many years.
Rhonda enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her grandson, Brayden, was the joy of her life. She had a love for animals and had several special dogs and cats over the years.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Rochon (Mike) of Iron Mountain; her grandson, Brayden; a sister, Sharon (David) Conrad of Racine, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Judith Rochon; two nieces, Lori Szuslik nee Chapman (fiance, Jeff), and Ashley (Jon) Maenpaa; a nephew, Gary Chapman; and many loving pets.
Rhonda was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Duane Rochon; and two infant sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will follow Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
