VULCAN – Henry M. Ciula, 92, of Vulcan, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. at the Oscar G. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
He was born in Wausaukee, Wis., on March 23, 1920, son of the late Matt and Julia (Zagorski) Ciula.
Henry graduated from Vulcan High School in 1938, and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and forestry. Henry never would cut down a live tree in the woods.
He loved to work with his hands, making windmills out of wood and bicycle rims that he loved to give away to friends. Henry was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
Henry is survived by his nephews, Wayne Forstrom and Dennis Forstrom of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Joseph Ciula; and his sister, Irene Forstrom.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis officiating.
Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
Henry’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the V.A. Medical Center for all their care.
