Boards plan meetings this week

The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 tonight in the circuit courtroom of the courthouse.
The agenda includes a report on building permit activity in 2012 from the Dickinson County Construction Code Commission.
The Breitung Township Schools Board of Education will meet today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the administration building, 2000 Pyle Drive in Kingsford.
Agenda items include an interactive projector bid award and request for unpaid leave.
The Iron Mountain School District Board of Education will meet today at 6 p.m. in the media center of the high school.
Action items on the agenda include approval of a band trip, electronic vendors and approval of a resolution.
The Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Board of Education will meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Conference Room A of the district office, 1074 Pyle Drive in Kingsford.
Under new business, the board will accept an employee resignation from Early Childhood Education, fill the position of Early Head Start home visitor, approve the self-assessment report and action pan for Early Head Start/Head Start, give permission to obtain roof replacement, carpet, and boiler replacement bids, and approve System Management Appliance as a Technology Consortium purchase.
The Florence County School District Board of Education will meet today at 3:30 p.m. for a negotiations committee meeting in Room 215 of the high school. It will be a closed session regarding staff compensation.
At 4 p.m., the committee will receive a presentation of initial wage proposal to the Florence Education Association and go back into closed session to discuss staff compensation again.
Following the meeting, the buildings, grounds and transportation committee will meet to discuss bus routes and general transportation issues.
The North Dickinson County School Board of Education will meet today at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
Business items on the agenda include senior class trip information, discussion of 2013-14 schedule and a closed session to discuss negotiations update and attorney-client privilege information.
The Breitung Township Board of Trustees will meet today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the township offices in Quinnesec.
Agenda items include the floodplain ordinance and Michigan Department of Transportation refund of deposit casement pipe on U.S. 141 as well as a request from the county board to support the 9-1-1 millage.
The Norway-Vulcan Area Schools Board of Education will meet today at 6 p.m. in the board room of the school.
Agenda items include information on the Safe Routes to School, Integrys natural gas provider, bond sale resolution, approval of bond projects as planned and a closed session to discuss negotiation strategies and legal council advice regarding the Norway-Vulcan Education Association and support personnel and the superintendent’s evaluation.
The Iron County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the commissioner’s room of the Iron County Courthouse in Crystal Falls.
