All three mushers are from Alaska.

In the six-dog, 40-mile sport class, Hannah Abbots of Calumet won with a time of three hours and 22 minutes.

Race co-director Grace Brindle said that the race turned out to be a great event for mushers, spectators, and the community.

“One of our goals in planning this event was to promote community vitality,” she said. “I can honestly say this weekend did exactly that.”

“We are looking forward to next year already,” she added.
