NIAGARA, WIS. – Shane R. Spade, 42, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in Niagara as a result of a traffic accident.
He was born Feb. 28, 1970, in Iron Mountain, son of Richard and Mary (Holmes) Spade. Shane graduated from Niagara High School. He married Niccole McCumber on Aug. 30, 1996, in Crystal Falls.
Shane worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his career and recently started working for Wausaukee Composites Inc. as a puller. He enjoyed hunting, coyote calling, and especially spending time with his daughter, Skyler, who was the love of his life.
Shane is survived by his wife, Niccole of Niagara; daughter, Skyler of Niagara; his parents, Richard and Mary Spade of Niagara; one brother, Scot “Skeeter” (Melissa) Spade of Niagara; paternal grandmother, Mabel Spade of Niagara; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Curt and Ruth McCumber; four sisters-in-law, Kristi (Jim) Bryner, Karen (Dan) Helms, Terri Brown, and Tasha McCumber; good friends, Christine Dollar, Tony and Tim McCarthy, Dave Dertz, and Doug Lantange; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Andy Filizetti will officiate.
