North Dickinson girls put away Rapid River early

FELCH – North Dickinson, with Miranda Jacobson scoring 12 of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter, downed Rapid River 69-32 in Skyline Conference girls basketball Monday at Carl F. Lemin Gymnasium.

North Dickinson rolled to a 25-8 lead in the first quarter.

“We got off to a real good start and controlled the game after that,” Nordics coach Mike Roell said. “Our team play was exceptional and everybody got involved.

“This was a real nice team win.”

Jacobson added 13 rebounds while Elizabeth Charlevoix and Chelsey Stroud each chipped in nine points.

The Nordics (2-10 overall, 1-5 Skyline) host Kingsford in a make-up game tonight.

Rapid River defeated North Dickinson 51-40 in the junior varsity game.
