NORWAY – Steven J. Robertson, 63, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at his home. He was born in Detroit on July 1, 1949, the son of V. Virginia (Smiley) Robertson and the late Jack Robertson of Norway. Steve graduated from Norway High School in 1968, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a truck driver for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his mother, Virginia Robertson; one son, Jeromie Robertson of Green Bay, Wis.; three daughters, Tina (Clarence) Christian of Norway, Wendy Robertson (Jon Knudsen) of Iron Mountain, and Crystal (Tony) McCarthy of Niagara, Wis.; brothers, David (Kathy), Jonathon (Mary), and Timothy (Jodi); sisters, Susan (Harvey) Shuler, Jennifer (Larry) Cornell, Laura (Craig) Johnson, and Rebecca (Terry) Kleikamp; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Milo.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Keenan McCarthy; a brother, Greg; and a nephew, Michael Kleikamp.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Balsam Street Christian Church in Kingsford.
A memorial service will follow Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Larry Neargarth will officiate.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
