WHITE LAKE, Mich. – Margaret M. Alexander, 86, of White Lake, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her home in White Lake.
Margaret was born on Oct. 14, 1926, in Pontiac, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Miller) Geiger. She married Robert Alexander in July 1945, and they raised their family in the Oakland County area. Robert preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2009.
Margaret enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. She was involved in many areas of volunteering, most recently, meals on wheels in Waterford, Mich. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many lap blankets for cancer patients. She took great pride in the crocheted christening outfits she made for her children and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her children, Marilyn Ann (Randy) Lingenfelter of Gaylord and Roberta Joyce (Kent) Taylor of White Lake; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Robert, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Rena Jean in 2011; her brother, Carl Geiger; and sister, Ann Richie.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will follow Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Raymond Valerio will officiate.
Burial will be in the Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
