SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Rosemary N. Martin, 85, of Schaumburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Assisi Health Care Center in Bartlett, Ill.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Hubert and Mary (Steiner) Nault.
On Sept. 12, 1952, she married Vernon B. Martin. The couple enjoyed 52 years of marriage until Vernon’s death in 2005.
Rosemary was the loving mother of Debbie (John) Thompson of St. Charles, Ill., Jeffery Martin of Warrenville, Ill., Greg (Peggy) Martin of Elgin, Ill., and Mary Jo (Duane) Chenier of Geneva, Ill.; cherished grandmother of Sarah, Brian and Ben Thompson, Jennifer Malpartida, Jeffery Martin Jr., Taylor and Kristyn Brock, and Kyla Jo Chenier; proud great-grandmother of Mikey, Brandon, Nico, Alex and Gabrielle; and the dear sister of Delores Noskey.
Your legacy will last for generations to come. Your faith has been our path, your love has been our guide, your wisdom has been our mentor, your perseverance has been our strength, your generosity has been an example for many. You built a foundation for our family out of love, faith, commitment, perseverance, tenacity, strength and wisdom, all wrapped up with the nurturing love of a mother. You dedicated your life to Christ, our father, and to your children. Your selfless generosity compares only to the God you praised. It comforts me to know you are with Him now.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church. Father Daniel Zaloga will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
