Shots fired in Niagara

NIAGARA, Wis. – A 22-year-old Niagara man has been arrested after shots were fired in Niagara early Friday morning.

The incident occurred at 2:16 a.m. Friday on the 700 block of Vine Street.

Niagara Police Department Assistant Chief Angela Moreau said that Marinette County Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to multiple gunshots being fired in the area.

Responding officers from the Niagara Police Department and Marinette County Sheriff’s Department observed two unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot of Bennett’s Roadhouse Saloon that had sustained damage from the gunshots.

Moreau said that officers were able to locate a suspect vehicle in the town of Niagara.

After obtaining and serving a search warrant, officers arrested a 22-year-old Niagara man as a suspect, Moreau added.

No injuries were reported, and the investigation into the incident continues.
