Shots fired in Niagara

NIAGARA, Wis. – A suspect has been arrested after shots were fired in Niagara early this morning.

Niagara Police Department Assistant Chief Angela Moreau said Marinette County Dispatch received a 911 call at 2:16 a.m. today in reference to multiple shots being fired in the 700 block of Vine Street in Niagara.

Responding officers from the Niagara Police Department and the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department observed two unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot of Bennett’s Roadhouse Saloon that had sustained damage from gunshots.

Police were able to locate a suspect vehicle in the town of Niagara. A search warrant was obtained and served, Moreau said.

One male suspect was arrested, and no injuries have been reported, she said.

The investigation continues.
