AURORA, Wis. – Ann Claire Broullire, 81, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Ann was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Aurora, daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Olson) Vondell.
Ann married Howard Broullire on Oct. 1, 1949, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora, and he preceded her in death in 1985.
Ann enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and participating in smear tournaments was a highlight. Bus trips to the casino, “bumming” around town, crocheting, word search puzzles and dart ball league were her other favorite pastimes. More than anything, Ann found much joy spending time with her family. She was very grateful that her entire family was able to make it home and spend time with her over Christmas.
She is survived by her sons, Greg (Carol) Broullire, Jeff Broullire and Todd (Ann) Broullire, all of Aurora; one sister, Dolores Pouliot of Aurora; five grandchildren, Tracy (Mike) Debidart, Brad Broullire, Dina (Dennis) Aho, Emily (Joe) LeQuia and Haley (Travis) Pearce; 13 great-grandchildren, Hart, Anna, Shelia, Zoe, Kelsey, Karlee, Paige, Mya, Bethany, Briaunna, Emma, Preston and Braydin; one great-great granddaughter, Maci; a sister-in-law, Sandy Broullire; a special friend, Bill Hendrickson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, George, James and Elmer Lindgren, and Edward Vondell; and a special friend, Ben.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate.
