Felch – Scott B. Curran, 46, of Felch, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, as a result of a traffic accident in Felch.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1966, in Iron Mountain, to Dan Curran and Dianne (Michaud) Cattelan.
Scott grew up in Kingsford, graduating from Kingsford High School, class of 1985. He was employed by Louisiana Pacific for the past three years and was the assistant fire chief for the Felch Volunteer Fire Department.
Scott was a great person, friend and neighbor. He lived life daily with exuberance and wanted to experience everything. To know him was to love him.
Survivors include, his mother, Dianne (Ramon) Cattelan of Norway; father, Dan (Mimi) Curran of Brunswick, Ga.; maternal grandfather, William Michaud of Kingsford; fianc, Marcie Lucas of Felch; one brother, Dr. Ryan (Kristen) Curran of Marquette; two sisters, Shannon (Joe) Johnston of Niagara, Wis. and Summer (Travis) Curran of Brunswick; one stepbrother, Fred Cattelan of Ironwood, and one stepsister, Rachel McDonald of South Carolina. Scott is furthered survived by Marcie’s parents, Diane S. Parolini of Vulcan and Clark Lucas Jr. of Felch; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Winkowitsch will officiate.
The family will receive guests following the memorial service at the Felch Community Center of Felch.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established with the family in Scott’s name.
